Major Project 2010

This was my Major Project assignment that featured in the end of year graduate exhibition at Massey University. The client for this campaign is Soup, a local high-end second hand fashion store; each ad alludes to second chances regarding the clothes and the model.
(Sorry about the weird layout, i'll have to fix that)

Gallery Brochure

Typography - Brochure
The aim of this brochure was to show the works of Graeme Sydney in a well structured order. The use of a grid system was important to the layout of the text. This work involved dealing with headings and sub-headings and making text and images work together harmoniously in order to suit a general audience.
Dingbats

Graphic Design Poster
This poster had to be made up solely by dingbats and represent a famous quote. The quote I chose is by Muhammad Ali, "A man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life'. I chose the lizard dingbat and manipulated it to look as though it's shedding it's skin, a metaphor for moving on in life and changing your values and opinions. The line I put with it is 'Never live the same year twice'.
Camp A Low Hummmm

CD Packaging - Camp A Low Hum
This CD package was for the New Zealand music festival 'Camp A Low Hum'. The aim was to come up with an idea with inspiration from 'around your home' to give it your unique, personal spin. I wanted to portray the alternative, old fashioned fun that is Camp A Low Hum. I had three key elements throughout the package, including the use of doilies, ornaments and fabric patterns which put together presented an alternative, old fashioned tea-rooms feel.

Beyond the Rainbow
Graphic Design Poster - Designers Institute of New Zealand
This poster was part of an assignment aimed at promoting a graphic design conference for the Designers Institute of New Zealand. The theme of the conference was the future of graphic design, so I took a slightly space age but youthful approach. My design conference was about getting young designers together and giving them an insight into how graphic design has changed from the past to the present and how it will be affected in the future.
